Aurilia Loureiro

Janury  18, 1925 – May 5, 2012

On Saturday May 5th, Mrs. Aurilia Geraldes Loureiro of Oliver passed away at the Penticton Hospital at the age of 87 years. Funeral Mass for Aurilia will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday May 11th from Christ the King Catholic Church in Oliver with Fr. Gabriel the celebrant. A reception will follow in the church hall. Prayers will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday evening at the church. Aurilia was predeceased by her parents, her brothers Jose Antunes and Aurelio Geraldes as well as her sister Teresa Filipe. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her family including Jose, her devoted husband of sixty-one years. Her sister Lurdes Braz. Children Joe (Aldina), Lourdes (John) and Joaquim (Oliveria). Her grandchildren Nelson, Stacy, Denis, Melissa, Christopher, Jennifer and Matthew. Her great-grandchildren Ethan, Dominic, Jordan, Nathan, Matias, Makayla and Jacob. Aurilia was born, raised and married in Casegas, Portugal. Along with her family she came to Oliver in 1959 where she worked in area orchards including some twenty-five years for the Thorp family. She loved to garden, growing flowers, crocheting and especially spending time with family. She will always be in the hearts of her family and friends.
