Antonia Persaud

August 25, 1936 – May 2, 2012

On Wednesday May 2, 2012, Mrs. Antonia Maria Kuipers (Ton) Persaud of Oliver passed away peacefully surrounded by family at the McKinney Place Extended Care at the age of 75 years. Ton will be fondly remembered by her loving family including husband Rudy; daughter, Patricia and son-in-law Corey; son Ray and daughter-in-law Angie; grandchildren Jack, Jacey, Sam and Nola; and sisters Riki, Netty and Wini as well as brothers Gerrit and Jan. Ton was a Registered Nurse and worked at the South Okanagan General Hospital for many years. She loved to travel and worked abroad in many places including South America. After retiring, Ton also volunteered her time at the SOGH Auxiliary Thrift Shop. She had a love for classical music, opera, art, her family and caring for others. An open house reception will be held at the Persaud family home from 11:00 A.M. – 3:00 P.M. Sunday May 20, 2012.
