 Taken Monday –  of Sandhill Cranes migrating over Oliver. Every year they fly north to Alaska and in October fly south again to Utah and California. Tens of thousands pass over us so high that they are hard to see with the naked eye, but you can usually hear them ‘croaking’.

 They hardly move their wings and drift on the thermals.
